Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II Black Badge, Phoenix Red

No Rolls-Royce had ever needed to apologise for its size until the Cullinan, and Series II doubles down: the squared-off prow, the upright pantheon grille now framed in body colour, and the slim daytime running lights give the second-generation car a harder face than the original. This is the Black Badge specification, Goodwood's answer to owners who drive themselves: the Spirit of Ecstasy and the interlocking RR monograms rendered in dark chrome, the window surrounds and brightwork shadowed to black, and the wheels darkened to match. It remains a V12 super-SUV built for someone who wants the most imposing thing in the valet line without a single chrome flourish to soften it.

The finish here is a saturated Phoenix Red laid over the whole body, set against the black trim and dark polished alloys for maximum contrast. It is a deliberately loud colour on a car usually ordered in restraint. The cabin and detailing read crisply at this scale, down to the badged plinths front and rear.
