Leather Satchel, Chrome Prancing Horse Badge

A polished chrome prancing horse stands at the centre of the flap, rearing on its hind legs with its tail raised. The satchel is in chestnut brown leather with a full-width flap closed by two buckled straps, a leather carrying strap across the top and a shoulder strap on steel rings.

Inside, an oval stamp reads A. MÜLLER, SATTLER, SUHR, with the number 41 pressed below, and the shoulder strap carries its own stamp from a maker in Zurich with the number 40 and a small mark of a cross above the letter M. The leather is creased and scratched, darker at the edges and worn at the folds. It is a used bag.
