An RWB car is built by Akira Nakai himself. He flies to the customer, often with little more than hand tools, and works on the car on site over two or three days, cutting the original wings and riveting new arches directly to the body. There is no template, so no two cars come out the same. Nakai founded RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF in Chiba, Japan, and he names each finished build: the RWB Champagne took its name from the region of France where it was built, and another car was built for Brian Scotto, co-founder of Hoonigan. The usual work covers new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheel arches and spoilers, with the track widened to fill the arches.
This build wears the pale blue and orange Gulf colours: orange lower bodywork and a central orange stripe, white roundels with a black 9 on the bonnet and doors, and Gulf badges on the front wings. RAUH-Welt runs across the windscreen and Zweite Entwicklung is lettered in gold on the carbon splitter. The orange disc wheels have a single centre nut and Pirelli P Zero tyres, a two-tier wing stands on tall black uprights, and a turbocharger and exhaust sit exposed below the tail. The white leather base has red stitching. It is built at 1:18.
