Porsche DLS Turbo, Gulf Blue

Singer announced the DLS Turbo in June 2023 and showed it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that July. It starts with a Porsche 964, stripped to a bare-metal monocoque, restored and strengthened, and takes its cue from the 934/5, the Porsche racer that won six of eight races and the SCCA Trans-Am championship in 1977. The engine is Singer's own 3.8-litre four-valve flat-six with twin turbochargers, electronic wastegates, air-to-water intercooling and a horizontal, electrically driven fan, good for around 700 hp at more than 9,000 rpm. The all-carbon body was shaped with computational fluid dynamics, and Singer offers it in Road and Track forms; this is the Road car, with the ducktail. Production is limited to 99 cars.

This piece is in Gulf Blue with a single orange stripe, edged in black, running from the nose over the roof to the tail, and a Gulf roundel on the bonnet. The arches are pumped out wide, with intakes ahead of the rear wheels, and the black mesh wheels have polished rims and a gold centre nut. At the back a wide ducktail sits above a black mesh panel carrying the Singer script and a full-width red lamp band. The black carbon-pattern base carries a plate. It is built at 1:18.
