Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package, Signal Yellow

The 918 Spyder's V8 was based on the engine of Porsche's RS Spyder race car: 4,593 cc, naturally aspirated, giving 608 PS at 8,700 rpm. Two electric motors, one on each axle, added 286 PS, for a combined 887 PS and 1,280 Nm, drawn from a 6.8 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery behind the cabin. Drive went through a 7-speed PDK gearbox to all four wheels. Porsche quoted 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, a time independent tests beat at 2.5, and on electric power alone the EPA rated the car for 19 km.

This is the Weissach Package car, in Signal Yellow, with the carbon fibre left bare on the mirror shells, the rear wing, the panels behind the rear wheels and the engine deck around the two exhaust outlets. The multi-spoke wheels are silver grey with red centre-lock nuts over lime-green calipers, and an e-hybrid script sits on each front wing. The cabin is black. At the rear a slim light strip crosses the carbon diffuser. The car stands on a pale suede base with a card plaque. Make Up builds it at 1:18.
