Porsche 918 Spyder, Light Blue with White Wheels

The 918 Spyder was Porsche's answer to a question nobody had quite asked yet: could a plug-in hybrid be the fastest car the company made? Its 4.6-litre V8, descended from the engine of the RS Spyder racing car, sits low behind the cabin with its exhausts leaving through the top of the rear deck, the shortest path for the heat. Two electric motors add their output for a combined 887 PS, and in September 2013 a 918 lapped the Nordschleife in 6:57. Porsche built 918 of them between 2013 and 2015, matching the number to the name.

This one is finished in a soft metallic light blue, with pale silver along the sills and across the front lip, and it rides on white multi-spoke wheels with white Michelin lettering on the tyres. The rear wing is raised and the roof panels are shown both removed and fitted. Inside, the cabin is white leather with carbon trim, 918 Spyder lettering on the headrests and a detailed centre console with its touch screen and controls. The 918 Spyder plate sits between the tail lamps. The black plaque on its white leather base, stitched in red, lists the V8 and hybrid figures and gives the edition as one of 8. It is built at 1:18.
