Production of the 918 Spyder began at Zuffenhausen on 18 September 2013 and ended in June 2015, by which time the planned run of 918 cars had sold out. A 4.6-litre V8 producing 608 PS at 8,700 rpm worked with two electric motors for a combined 887 PS and 1,280 Nm, the figures etched on this model's plaque. On the morning of 4 September 2013 a 918 with the Weissach package lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6 minutes 57 seconds with Marc Lieb at the wheel, and Walter Röhrl and Timo Kluck also beat the previous record in the same session.
This example is finished in a pale, icy blue metallic that turns almost silver where the light catches the front wings. The wheels are dark grey with acid green calipers behind them. The cabin is black, with acid green piping on the seats and door panels and the 918 Spyder lettering on the headrests picked out in the same green, and the hybrid script on the flanks matches. Carbon covers the rear wing, the diffuser and the centre console. At the back is a yellow British number plate. The roof panels can be fitted or left off, as the photographs show. On the white leather base, the etched plaque lists the car's figures and reads Limited, one of 12. It is built at 1:18.
