Porsche 911 (Singer), Silver

Singer Vehicle Design was founded in Los Angeles in 2009 by Rob Dickinson, formerly the frontman and guitarist of the English rock band Catherine Wheel. The name honours the Porsche engineer Norbert Singer and nods to Dickinson's own years as a vocalist. The company restores and modifies Porsche 911s, selling each as a reimagined 911: a heavily reworked 964 coupé or Targa with carbon fibre panels in place of much of the original bodywork. Prices started at over 475,000 dollars, and examples have since sold at auction for well over a million.

This car is in metallic silver with a navy stripe edged in red running over the front lid, the roof and the engine lid, and red PORSCHE script between navy lines along the sills. The deep wheels follow the Fuchs pattern, with dark centres and polished rims. Slim chrome bumper trim, amber indicators, the louvred grille on the ducktail and twin central tailpipes complete the outside, and the dark cabin shows through the glass.
