The Dynamics and Lightweighting Study started with one customer. Scott Blattner, already a Singer client, asked the Los Angeles company to make his 964 lighter and quicker, and Singer took the brief to Williams Advanced Engineering in Oxfordshire. What came back went well beyond one car: a 4.0-litre flat-six revving to 9,000 rpm, a body made entirely of carbon fibre and a kerb weight of 990 kg. Singer showed the result at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2018 and said it would carry out 75 more conversions to the same or a similar specification.
This model is finished in white, with the PORSCHE script on the doors and tail picked out in a deep yellow that carries on to the wheels, five-spoke centre-lock designs with yellow faces, polished rims and gold centre nuts. The same yellow fills the cabin, on the shell seats with their harness slots, the door cards and the roll cage seen through the rear glass, set against a carbon dashboard and a carbon-spoked steering wheel. At the back are the DLS plate, the Singer script on the engine grille and twin round tailpipes. The car sits on a carbon-weave base whose plaque reads D&C, with the Singer script and Limited Edition, one of 20. It is built at 1:18, in a run of 20 for each colour.
