Porsche 911 Singer DLS, Metallic Red & Yellow

The letters stand for Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, and the name is the brief. Dynamics meant a chassis and suspension reworked with Williams Advanced Engineering; lightweighting meant a body made entirely of carbon fibre, its wings widened over the wheels. Singer, the Los Angeles company that has reworked Porsche 911s since 2009, introduced the car in 2018 with an air-cooled flat-six built in partnership with Hans Mezger. In 2023 Singer added a turbocharged version to the programme, which leaves the original DLS, the car modelled here, as the one without turbochargers.

This one is a deep metallic red with a yellow stripe from nose to tail and yellow sill stripes framing the PORSCHE script, with white lettering across the tail and silver five-spoke wheels under the widened arches. The cabin makes a strong contrast: white bucket seats and door cards against a red dashboard top and a red three-spoke steering wheel. The engine lid lifts to show the carbon intake with its Williams Advanced Engineering plate, the cooling fan and gold-finished fittings.
