Porsche 911 S/T, Signal Orange

The 911 S/T pairs the high-revving flat-six of the 911 GT3 RS, a 4.0-litre unit of 525 PS that runs to 9,000 rpm, with an exclusive six-speed manual gearbox. A lightweight clutch and a single-mass flywheel reduce the rotating masses, which Porsche said makes the car exceptionally responsive. The weight saving runs through the rest of the car too: there are no rear seats, the shift lever is shorter, the forged wheels are magnesium and carbon fibre reinforced plastic is used widely. The result is a kerb weight of 1,380 kg, which makes the S/T the lightest 911 of the 992 generation.

This car is finished in Signal Orange with black PORSCHE lettering along the doors, gloss black centre-lock wheels and orange calipers behind drilled discs. A bright trim frames the side windows, the engine cover carries a fine grille, and the slim rear spoiler sits flush with the tail where a GT3 would carry its wing. The mirrors are body colour, and twin exhausts sit in the dark diffuser. The white leather base has red stitching and a black plaque. IVY builds it at 1:18.
