Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR, Metallic Orange

When Porsche unveiled the 992 GT3 RS in August 2022 it moved the main radiator into the middle of the nose, as on the GT3 R and RSR race cars, and used the space freed at the sides for a bigger splitter and active aero. The result was 860 kg of downforce at 285 km/h, roughly twice the figure of the car before it. Manthey Racing, the Nordschleife specialist part-owned by Porsche, then went further. Its kit fits carbon aero discs over the wheels to cut drag, a larger wing, dive planes and longer diffuser strakes, with coilovers underneath. Porsche quotes about 20 per cent more downforce for the package.

Here the car is finished in a deep metallic orange that turns copper in shadow, set against the exposed carbon of the bonnet, the louvred arches and the rear deck. The wheels are black, the rear pair hidden behind aero discs ringed in red, and red tow hooks stand out front and rear. Small Manthey script runs low on the doors, the Manthey logo marks the wing endplates and GT3 RS badging sits on the tail. Through the glass the cabin is black with red details. The plaque on the white leather base names the Manthey Racing 911 GT3 RS MR and gives the edition as one of 16. It is built at 1:18.
