Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Matt Grey

Porsche gave the 992 GT3 RS something no production Porsche had carried before: a drag reduction system. At the press of a button on the steering wheel, and within a set operating range, the wing elements flatten to cut drag on a straight. The same hardware works the other way under emergency braking at high speed, when the front and rear elements go to their steepest setting and act as an airbrake. The steering wheel also carries four rotary controls, used to set the front and rear damping in stages and the rear differential.

This piece wears a matt pale grey with a cool blue cast. A white stripe runs along the sills under white GT3 RS script, and the wheels are white as well, which makes the black brake discs and the carbon bonnet centre stand out. The wing end plates carry an RS badge, and the front wing louvres, splitter and twin centre exhausts are all shown. A matching grey roof box, with Porsche on the side and Thule on the back, sits on a rack above the roof and the swan-neck wing. The car is set on a white base with red stitching.
