Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Midnight Purple

The 911 GT2 RS was the most extreme road-going 911 of its generation: a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six channelled through the rear wheels alone, with Weissach-spec lightweighting and a chassis tuned to put Porsche back atop the Nürburgring lap charts. Its intent is plain in the photos: the carbon bonnet with its central scoop and stripe, the swan-neck rear wing, the deep front splitter and the magnesium-look wheels behind yellow ceramic-brake calipers. The red roll cage and cabin glimpsed through the glass mark it as a car built to be driven hard, not coddled.

Here it wears a deep metallic purple that shifts towards violet and near-black across the panels (a far bolder choice than the silvers and whites the GT2 RS usually arrives in), set off by the bronze centre-lock wheels and exposed carbon. It is built at 1:18 on a carbon-weave presentation base. A focused, slightly menacing thing, finished to match. It is one of 10.
