Chassis 904-055 was delivered to Ben Pon in May 1964 and raced that season in orange under the Racing Team Holland name. At the Nürburgring 1000 km on 31 May, Pon and Gerhard Koch brought it home third overall, behind only two works Ferraris, and first in the 2-litre GT class; three weeks later the same car finished eighth at Le Mans. CMC's 1:18 model of that car is the source of this frame, part of the Model Art collection the company introduced for its 30th anniversary in 2025, in which a complete model is taken apart and its parts laid out over the original construction drawing.
The 904 rewards the treatment. Its orange body is shown in sections: the centre section with Racing Team Holland along its flanks, both doors with their black 45 roundels, the tail and the front lid. Around them are the flat-four engine with its wiring, the bare metal exhaust headers, steel wheels and tyres, grey-blue door panels, the seats, suspension parts, rows of tiny fasteners and a tin case of screwdrivers. A brushed plate with the CMC Exclusive Modelle logo names the car and the edition, next to the CMC 30 years badge. The walnut frame, glazed with acrylic, measures 650 by 650 mm, and CMC made 500 of them.
