The Zonda R was never meant for the road. Built around a 6.0-litre Mercedes-AMG V12 and stripped of any pretence of comfort, it was Pagani's track-only answer to the question of how far the Zonda could be pushed, and in 2010 it answered by lapping the Nürburgring in 6:47, the figure carried on the doors of this car alongside the orange and white graphics that marked the record. Everything here is in service of speed: the long rear overhang feeding a towering swan-neck wing, the central roof scoop, the exposed twin tailpipes clustered in a vast carbon diffuser. The bare weave finish is the point, not a cost saving. This is a machine that wears its construction openly, with Horacio Pagani's obsession for jewellery-grade detail visible in every vent and strake.
The model captures that raw carbon surface across the full body, set against bright gold centre-lock wheels and the thin orange pinstripe that runs the length of the flank. H&H builds it at 1:18 on a black presentation base, the diffuser and wing rendered with the same fine louvres as the original. A track car, kept in miniature.
