The Nilu is the first car from Nilu27, founded by designer Sasha Selipanov with his wife, Inna. Selipanov drew much of the Lamborghini Huracán's exterior, was head of exterior design at Bugatti when the Chiron appeared in 2016, and became Koenigsegg's head of design in 2019. Nilu joins the names of their daughters, Nica and Lucia, and the 27 goes back to a magazine he saw as a boy in Tbilisi in 1991: a red Ferrari with 27 on its nose. Unveiled during Monterey Car Week in August 2024, the car has a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 from Hartley Engines, targeting 1,070 hp and 11,000 rpm, with a seven-speed manual gearbox.
FrontiArt dresses this one in a Salut Gilles livery, after the words painted on the start and finish line of Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, named for the Canadian whose Ferrari carried 27 in 1981 and 1982. The car is gloss black and red with grey striping, a red 27 on the doors and the tail, small maple leaves and the Salut Gilles script above the windscreen and beside the cabin. The five-spoke wheels are black, with red calipers and red-lettered tyres, and at the back the triple exhausts and the open engine bay sit between the tail lamp clusters. The carbon weave base carries FrontiArt's plaque. FrontiArt builds it in resin at 1:18.
