NILU27 is the hypercar of Sasha Selipanov, a designer whose earlier work was for Koenigsegg, Lamborghini and Bugatti, and it runs against the drift towards electric power: a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 rated at 1,070 hp, a seven-speed manual gearbox and a kerb weight of 1,200 kg, with assembly in Irvine, California. The name joins the first names of the founders' daughters, Nica and Lucia, with 27, the Formula 1 number worn by Gilles Villeneuve and later by Jean Alesi.
FrontiArt's model leans into that number. The body is a bright red under a black canopy, and a large white 27 sits on the nose and on each door. Black five-spoke wheels carry Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres with chequered sidewall graphics, carbon blades sit behind the front wheels and along the sills, and the open tail shows the engine, gold-finished parts around the exhausts and a cluster of three outlets. The car stands on a carbon-effect base with a clear plaque reading nilu and FrontiArt, with its limited edition number. FrontiArt builds it in resin at 1:18.
