NILU27, Metallic Green

The NILU27's design draws on an unusual mix of sources: American muscle drift cars, the Formula 1 and Le Mans racers of the 1960s, the classic Italian design houses, the Bauhaus and metal music. The name is personal as well. NILU joins the names of the founders' daughters, Nica and Lucia, and 27 is the number Gilles Villeneuve and Jean Alesi carried in Formula 1. The car was first shown to the public at Pebble Beach in August 2024, and a road-legal version was announced as in development with a run of 54 cars, four of them offered for custom designs. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.5 litre V12 developed with Hartley Engines, through a seven-speed manual.

MotorHelix paints this one a bright metallic green that turns almost yellow where the light catches the nose, with a small dark 27 on each door and silver five-spoke wheels. Green coilover springs show in the open engine bay beside the V12, green trim runs through the cabin, and a gold-toned panel sits under the rear wing above the three central exhaust outlets. The plaque on the black leather base carries the MH mark and the nilu name and reads Limited Edition, one of 27, a smaller run than the 49 of the other MotorHelix NILU27 colours.
