Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, Matte Silver

The Black Series was a chassis job as much as an engine one. AMG mounted the transmission 10 mm lower, added an electronically controlled rear differential lock and retuned the AMG Ride Control suspension. Braking came from AMG ceramic discs, 402 mm at the front and 360 mm at the rear, and the body gained wider wings, a carbon fibre bonnet and front splitter, and an optional aerodynamics package whose fixed carbon aerofoil could be adjusted. The 6.2-litre V8 gave 631 PS, and the top speed was 315 km/h.

This one is in Matte Silver, which shows the creases in the bonnet and the swell of the rear wings without reflections. The carbon splitter, the dark vents behind the front wheels, the carbon rear wing on its two posts and the diffuser with two pairs of trapezoid tailpipes stand out against the paint, and dark multi-spoke wheels frame orange calipers. Red trim shows in the cabin, and an AMG plate sits between the tailpipes. It sits on a black suede base with white stitching and a plaque that names the Black Series. H&H builds it at 1:18.
