Mercedes-Benz S 65 L, Matte Champagne

The S65 AMG was the W222 S-Class at its most uncompromising: a long-wheelbase saloon with a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12, badged here on the front wing in plain sight, hand-built to the old AMG creed of one engine, one engineer. Where the S63 chased lap times, the S65 was about effortless reserve. It was a car that moved its passengers without ever appearing to try, the muscle hidden beneath limousine calm.
