Leather Satchel, Painted Prancing Horse Badge

A metal prancing horse is mounted at the centre of the flap, its silver surface patched with gold paint that has worn away in places. The satchel is cut from dark brown leather, with a full-width flap closed by two buckled straps, a leather carrying strap across the top and a shoulder strap on steel rings.

Inside, an oval stamp reads SCHMOCKER, SATTLER, THUN: a saddler's mark from Thun, with the number 37 pressed below it. The leather is heavily creased and scratched, the flap is marked with scuffs, and the buckles and strap ends show clear wear. It is a used bag, and it looks it.
