Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, Chameleon Purple

Lamborghini revealed the Veneno Roadster on 1 December 2013 aboard the Italian Navy aircraft carrier Cavour, docked at Mina Zayed port in Abu Dhabi, and then showed it at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It followed the Veneno coupé of the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, a car developed to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary, and only nine Roadsters were built, each open to full customisation. Without the coupé's roof the chassis needed extra reinforcement, so the Roadster weighs 1,490 kg dry, 50 kg more than the coupé, and the large rear wing is carbon fibre. Lamborghini quoted a top speed of 356 km/h.

The paint here is a colour-shift finish that moves from pink and copper on the bonnet to violet and deep blue along the doors and oxblood towards the tail, changing with every angle. The cockpit is open, with cream seats, and the black multi-spoke wheels sit under deep, sharply cut arches. The fixed rear wing stands on a central fin above the engine cover, and at the back the triangular openings of the grille glow blue between the rear lamps, above the deep diffuser blades. It sits on a black suede base with white stitching. H&H builds it at 1:18.
