Lamborghini Veneno, Alba Cielo

Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva show to mark Lamborghini's 50th anniversary, the Veneno was less a car than a statement: only a handful were built, each priced into seven figures, all spoken for before the covers came off. Underneath the slashed, aero-obsessed bodywork sat the Aventador's 6.5-litre V12, but the Veneno's purpose was visual extremism: the knife-edge nose, the central spine running the length of the roof, the open rear deck and towering wing that treat the back of the car as pure downforce sculpture. It is the rarest expression of Sant'Agata's design language, built for collectors who wanted the V12 idea pushed past sense.

The colour here is what sets this example apart: an iridescent purple-to-magenta shift that reads almost black in shadow and burns towards violet in the light, lined with a fine green pinstripe and the Italian tricolore along the flanks. Make Up captures the paint depth and the sharp carbon detailing at 1:43 on a mirrored presentation base.
