Lamborghini unveiled the Countach LPI 800-4 on 14 August 2021 at The Quail, 50 years after the original Countach was first shown. It was designed under head of design Mitja Borkert and takes both its inspiration and its name from the original. Production was set at 112 cars, a number taken from LP 112, the project code used while the first Countach was in development, and all were sold within a week of the reveal. Behind the cabin sits the 6.5-litre L539 V12 with 780 PS, joined by a 48-volt, 34 PS electric motor inside the seven-speed gearbox. It draws on a supercapacitor charged by braking, lighter than a lithium-ion battery, and the combined 814 PS goes to all four wheels.
MR Collection builds the car in a deep metallic red. The white wheels frame red brake calipers, black fills the side intakes and the slatted vents behind the side windows, and countach script sits low on the nose. At the tail, three hexagonal lamps run along each side, the countach LPI 800-4 plate sits at the centre, and four exhaust outlets are set into the black lower panel. The cabin is trimmed in white and grey. The car stands on a carbon-pattern base with red stitching and a countach plate at the front. MR Collection builds it in resin at 1:18.
