Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario, Azzurro Pearl

Lamborghini marked its fiftieth year with the Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario, shown at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2013 as a numbered series of 100 coupés. Its 6.5-litre V12 made 720 hp, 20 more than the LP 700-4, and new bodywork with larger front intakes, a bigger splitter, small side flaps and an enlarged rear diffuser raised aerodynamic efficiency by more than half. Each car carried a Forged Composite badge with the 50° logo and its own serial number. The launch colour was Giallo Maggio, May yellow, for the month the company was founded in 1963.

This car is in Azzurro Pearl, a light pearl blue, with a black roof and black lower bodywork, splitter and diffuser. The wheels are dark multi-spoke designs with yellow calipers, and the cabin is trimmed in tan. It stands on a white acrylic base raised on a clear block, with a plaque at the front carrying the maker's red tab. A handwritten signature in black marker sits on the base beside the car.
