Koenigsegg CCX Edition, Visible Carbon with Green Stripe

Koenigsegg unveiled the CCX at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, its name short for Competition Coupé X, the X marking ten years since the first CC prototype of 1996. It was designed to meet safety and environmental rules around the world, with the United States market in mind. It also brought Koenigsegg's own engine, a 4.7-litre twin-supercharged V8 of 806 PS that replaced the Ford-based unit of the CCR. In 2007 it set the fastest time on Top Gear's Power Lap, 1:17.6. The CCX was made from 2006 to 2010. At Geneva in 2008 Koenigsegg showed two special models with bare carbon bodies, the CCX Edition and CCXR Edition, limited to two and four cars, the CCX Edition raised to 900 PS.

This is the CCX Edition, with the bare carbon look: the whole body shows its weave under a clear gloss, with bright green stripes along the bonnet, the shoulders and the side intakes, and a green rear wing. The tail carries the CCX plate with an EDITION badge beside it, between the triple round lamps on each side and the central exhaust. The cabin is red, the wheels are silver multi-spoke, and the car stands on a carbon-weave base. It is built at 1:18.
