The FXX K turned the LaFerrari into a circuit car for Ferrari's Client Test Driver programme, which lets XX owners drive on selected tracks. Unveiled at Yas Marina in late 2014, it paired an 860 PS V12 with a 190 PS electric motor for 1,050 PS in all, the K standing for its kinetic energy recovery system. Ferrari made 40. On 28 October 2017, at Florence's Stazione Leopolda during the Finali Mondiali, Ferrari showed the Evo, an aerodynamic package for existing cars. It reworked the front, added a large rear wing and new underbody diffusers, saved an estimated 90 kg, and gave 23 per cent more downforce than the FXX K and 75 per cent more than the road-going LaFerrari.
The model is all gloss exposed carbon, from bonnet and roof to flanks and rear wing. An Italian tricolore sits on the nose and on each front wing, FXX K Evo script on the flanks and No Step on the sills, with a gold-coloured filler cap behind the cabin. Silver multi-spoke wheels wear yellow-lettered Pirelli P Zero tyres. Inside are a roll cage, a carbon race seat and a red harness. Its red-stitched grey suede-effect base carries an etched plaque with the car's figures, the Ferrari FXX K Evo name and a Ferrari shield, headed 1/18 High Detail GT Series and marked Limited, one of 16. It is built at 1:18.
