The F40 was the last car signed off by Enzo Ferrari himself, built to mark the marque's fortieth anniversary and engineered with a single idea in mind: speed, stripped of anything that did not serve it. A twin-turbo V8 behind the cabin, a composite body that ducts air front to rear, that unmistakable full-width rear wing rising off the tail visible here from the back three-quarter. The interior is bare, the doors light, the glass thin. It was a road car that drove like the Group B racers Ferrari had been denied, and it remains the benchmark against which serious collectors still measure a usable supercar.
This example wears a tour-special treatment over Rosso Corsa: the racing number 40 in yellow on the doors and nose, twin blue-and-white stripes running the length of the flanks, and gold centre-lock wheels that lift it well clear of a standard production car. Built at 1:18 on a leather-topped presentation base, the model captures the louvred engine cover, quad exhausts and exposed cabin. A faithful, well-judged tribute to the F40's anniversary intent.
