The 458 Italia was built from 2009 to 2015, and its engine came from the F136 family shared between Ferrari and Maserati. In the 458 it displaced 4,497 cc and made 570 PS at a 9,000 rpm redline, with 540 Nm at 6,000 rpm, and it was the first mid-engined Ferrari road car engine with direct fuel injection. There was no manual option: every car used a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox by Getrag. Pininfarina designed the body under Donato Coco, with small winglets in the front grille that deform at speed to cut drag, and the car made its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 488 GTB replaced it in 2015.

BBR's 1:43 model is finished in Rosso Fuoco, a glossy metallic red, with dark grey five-spoke wheels and a tan cabin. The rear carries the 458 Italia badge above the three central exhaust tips, with black mesh vents either side. The car sits on a red leather plinth with stitched edges, and a black plaque on the base carries the 458 Italia name and the words Edizione Limitata with a piece number. BBR builds it at 1:43.
