Ferrari 458 Italia Liberty Walk, Matte Grey

Ferrari unveiled the 458 Italia at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009. Designed under Donato Coco, with Pininfarina on the bodywork, it carried a 4.5-litre V8 of 570 PS that revved to 9,000 rpm, the first mid-engined Ferrari road car with direct fuel injection. Small winglets in the front grille flexed at speed to narrow the intakes and cut drag. It was built until 2015, when the 488 GTB took over. The 458 Italia is among the Ferraris that Liberty Walk has re-bodied, and this model shows the car in that form: lower, far wider at the wheels and covered in rivets.

It is finished in matte light grey, with darker rising-sun rays across the doors, the line Imagine all the people living life in peace beside a small Japanese flag, Liberty Walk script on the nose, and Forgiato, Toyo Tires and LB-R decals around the body. Riveted overfenders, a splitter with small canards and a GT wing on tall stands complete the kit. The black five-spoke wheels have gold wheel nuts and green calipers behind them, and three purple-tinted tailpipes sit in the diffuser. It stands on a white leather base with red stitching and a plaque naming it the LB-Performance 458 Italia. Davis & Giovanni builds it in resin at 1:18.
