Ferrari introduced the 296 GT3 in 2022 as the customer racer to replace the 488 GT3 from the 2023 season, and it made its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January 2023. Frikadelli Racing won the 2023 Nürburgring 24 Hours with one, covering 162 laps for a new distance record. Risi Competizione took the GTD Pro class at Daytona in 2024, and that year Alessandro Pier Guidi and Alessio Rovera won the drivers' title in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, with AF Corse taking the teams' title. In 2025 a 296 GT3 also won the FIA GT World Cup in Macau.
This model wears red over a black lower body, with dark stripes fanning back across the rear haunches, 296 GT3 lettered on the doors and a Ferrari banner across the top of the windscreen. The doors open on a full racing cockpit, with a Sabelt seat and window net, the roll cage and a red push button on the dash. Details run to a Stäubli refuelling coupling in the bodywork and yellow Pirelli P Zero lettering on the tyres, with grey centre-lock wheels and a carbon wing on twin uprights above twin exhausts and a mesh tail panel. It stands on a carbon-topped base with Amalgam's plaque at the front. Amalgam builds it at 1:8, more than 57 cm long.
