Chassis 6119 joined Georges Filipinetti's Swiss team, Scuderia Filipinetti, in September 1964 and first raced in the 1000 km of Paris at Montlhéry that October, retiring with overheating. Its best result came at Le Mans in June 1965, where the Swiss pair Dieter Spoerry and Armand Boller drove it to sixth overall and third in the 4-litre prototype class, one of three 250 LMs in the top six behind the winning North American Racing Team car. That October it won its class in a Swiss championship race at Monza. Later owners raced it in Portugal and Spain, it passed through several British collections in the 1970s, and in 2010 it joined a collection in Bahrain.
The model shows the car as it finished at Le Mans, in clean condition: red with a white centre stripe, #27 roundels, Scuderia Filipinetti script and shield on the front wings and blue-walled Goodyear tyres. The rear body lifts in one piece over the V12 and suspension, the front lid opens to a spare wheel held down by leather straps, and the doors have sliding windows. Inside the right-hand-drive cockpit are blue seats with textile centres, belts and a wood-rimmed wheel. CMC builds it at 1:18 as a hand-assembled metal precision model of more than 1,800 parts, in a limited edition of 1,500.
