Cadillac sold the 1957 and 1958 Eldorado in two bodies: the Biarritz convertible and the Seville two-door hardtop. Both were restyled for 1957 with a low, downswept wing line capped by pointed fins. For 1958 they gained quad headlights, a new bonnet, a full-width jewelled grille and a front bumper with lower, wider-set dagmars. Ten vertical chrome slashes went ahead of the rear wheel openings, crest medallions went on the fins, and the V-shaped emblem moved to one side of the boot lid. Power came from a 365 cubic inch V8 with a four-speed Hydra-Matic, and 1958 was the fiftieth anniversary year of General Motors, with the Seville one of the models given anniversary trim.

This piece is the Seville hardtop, as its plaque names it, in metallic bronze gold with an ivory roof and a red interior. It shows the quad headlamps, the jewelled grille, the twin dagmars, the chrome slashes ahead of the rear wheels and the tall fins, with round red lamps low in the tail, on wire wheels with wide whitewall tyres and 1958 plates front and rear. It stands on a black wood-grain base with a gold plaque. Highway 61 builds it at 1:18.
