Bugatti's W16 era produced two roadster lines. The first, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, was unveiled on the awards ramp at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on 16 August 2008, a Veyron with a removable roof. The second, the W16 Mistral, closed the story fourteen years later as the only open-top car on the Chiron platform, with bodywork of its own: a windscreen that wraps into the side glass like a visor, twin carbon scoops behind the seats, vertically stacked headlamps and a deeper, wider horseshoe grille. Its engine is the 1,600 PS W16 of the Chiron Super Sport 300+, and all 99 examples were sold before the car was revealed in 2022.
H&H's Petrol Blue is a pale, icy turquoise rather than a deep petrol tone, glossy and cool across the long bonnet and haunches, with wheels painted to match and a light-coloured cabin. A small tricolore sits on the sill, and at the rear the red X of the tail lamps and the BUGATTI lettering stand out clearly against the pale paint, beneath the wing raised on its polished supports. The roadster rests on a black suede-finish base with white contrast stitching, its nameplate bearing the Bugatti macaron, the Mistral script and a piece number from an edition of 30. H&H builds it at 1:18.
