Seen head-on, the Divo makes its purpose plain. The horseshoe grille is flanked by deep intakes, the front spoiler is newly shaped to build downforce, and a reworked air curtain improves the flow along the flanks. Bugatti gave each side of the car four separate sources of brake-cooling air (sensible provision for a car meant to be driven hard on winding roads) and cut air inlets into the bonnet to reduce frontal area, while a NACA duct in the roof feeds the engine bay. The result was a Chiron reworked for agility, built forty times and named for Albert Divo, the Bugatti driver who won the Targa Florio in 1928 and 1929.
This example is finished in a glossy metallic mid grey, with bright light blue along the splitter, sills and roof spine, dark exposed carbon on the lower body, plain silver multi-spoke wheels and the tricolore on the sill. On the shared carbon-weave base a separate model of the W16 stands beside the car on two polished pegs, gearbox attached, its turbochargers, charge pipes and heat-shielded exhaust manifolds modelled in detail, so the engine can be studied from angles the car itself never allows. A nameplate carrying the Bugatti macaron, the Divo script and Ettore Bugatti's signature completes the presentation. Built at 1:18.
