Bentley announced the third-generation Continental GT on 29 August 2017, and the convertible GTC followed at the Los Angeles motor show in November 2018. Stefan Sielaff led the design, with John Paul Gregory on the exterior, and Bentley called it the first production car with an entire body side made by superforming, where heated aluminium sheet is shaped by gas pressure. The GTC's Z-fold fabric roof rises or stows in 19 seconds at up to 48 km/h. In place of the coupé's retracting spoiler it has a reshaped tail with a larger Gurney spoiler, and the roof adds about 160 kg. At launch it used the 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12, built in Crewe, with 635 PS.
This one is painted Twilight Purple, a bright metallic violet, with the roof stowed over a white leather interior. Dark multi-spoke wheels show red calipers, chrome strips run along the sills and lower doors, and the matrix grille sits between the round twin headlamps with a BENTLEY plate below. At the back are the oval tail lamps, Bentley lettering, another plate and two oval tailpipes. The car sits on a dark suede base with white stitching and a black plaque that names the car. H&H builds it at 1:18.
