The DB12 coupé was only the start. Aston Martin unveiled the DB12 Volante on 14 August 2023, with an eight-layer fabric roof that opens in 14 seconds and closes in 16, at up to 50 km/h, and a body Aston said was 5 per cent stiffer than the DB11 Volante's. In October 2025 came the DB12 S, its twin-turbo V8 raised from 680 PS to 700 PS with torque unchanged at 800 Nm, gearshifts 50 per cent quicker and 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. All of them use the same 4.0-litre V8 and eight-speed ZF automatic, and all are built at Gaydon in Warwickshire.
This coupé is in Lightning Silver, a bright metallic silver, under a roof of bare carbon fibre. The two-tone multi-spoke wheels have dark faces with machined edges, the grille is filled with dark horizontal bars, and ASTON MARTIN script sits in each side vent. At the back the full-width light bar runs above ASTON MARTIN lettering and a DB12 plate, with a dark diffuser below. The car stands on a black base with a mirrored floor, its plaque naming the Aston Martin DB12 Coupé. MotorHelix builds it at 1:18.
