Toyota GR Supra, Grey

Toyota's revival of the Supra name arrived in 2019 after a seventeen-year absence, and the choice that defined it was collaboration: the A90 shares its platform, straight-six and much of its hardware with BMW's Z4, built alongside it in Graz. Purists argued; the chassis answered. The long bonnet, double-bubble roof and tightly drawn cabin set far back over the rear axle give it the proportions of a proper front-engined GT, while the turbocharged 3.0-litre six and short wheelbase make it eager and adjustable rather than merely fast. The GR badge on the bootlid marks it as the work of Toyota's Gazoo Racing arm, and the car here wears the understated metallic grey that suits its restrained, function-first design better than any louder shade.
