The Talbot-Lago T150-C-SS is one of the high points of French coachbuilt design between the wars. Antony Lago's 4-litre, hemi-head six gave it genuine competition pace, but it is the Figoni et Falaschi "Goutte d'Eau" teardrop body that made it immortal: a single sweeping line from the long, heart-shaped grille over the cabin and down into the fully skirted rear wings, with no break to interrupt the flow. The wraparound rear glass, faired-in wheels and delicate wire wheels mark it as a car built for the concours lawn as much as the road, made in tiny numbers for clients who wanted the most advanced aerodynamics of the day wrapped in jewellery.
The two-tone treatment here splits a soft silver flank against deep red wings and roof, throwing the teardrop profile into relief and catching the chrome of the grille bars and wire spokes. Minichamps captures it at 1:18 on a cobblestone-pattern presentation base, down to the louvred bonnet, opening cabin and finely turned wheels.
