Singer DLS, Matte Grey

Singer Vehicle Design strips a 964-generation Porsche 911 back to its bones and rebuilds it with help from Williams Advanced Engineering. The Dynamics and Lightweighting Study lives up to the name with an all-carbon-fibre body, a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six spun to 9,000 rpm, and the kind of obsessive detailing visible here in the louvred ducktail, the lap-belt cabin, and the centre-lock Fuchs-style wheels. It is a tribute to the air-cooled 911 by engineers who refuse to round anything off, built in tiny numbers for owners who already understand why the 964 mattered.

This example wears a matte slate-grey skin that lets the carbon weave and the satin surface do the talking, with the period Porsche script picked out in red along the sills. The model is mounted on a wood-and-acrylic presentation base, every vent slat and the engraved rear deck script reproduced cleanly. It is built at 1:18.
