Every Singer begins as a Porsche 964, the 911 generation sold from 1989 to 1994. Porsche considered the 964 85 per cent new compared with the Carrera 3.2, with a 3.6-litre flat-six of 250 PS and coil springs in place of the old torsion bars. Singer keeps that base and reworks almost everything on it: carbon fibre panels replace much of the bodywork, the 964's shorter front lid gives way to the long bonnet of the earlier 911, and the engines are reworked by Cosworth, Ed Pink Racing Engines or Williams. The redline sits at 7,200 rpm with a limiter at 7,300, and the rev counter is marked to 11.
This one is in Frankfurt Blue, a bright pale blue, with white PORSCHE script along the sills and across the engine lid, and PORSCHE embossed in the rear number plate panel. The wheels follow the Fuchs pattern, with polished rims and dark centres over red brake callipers. Chrome bumper over-riders frame the tail lamps, gold Singer script sits on the engine lid above the louvred grille, twin tailpipes exit beneath the rear, and cognac leather fills the cabin. The car stands on a wooden base framed in black. It is built at 1:18.
