Singer 911 Coupe, Mulholland

Singer showed the Mulholland in April 2018. It was built under the company's Special Wishes programme for a client who asked for an undiluted, visceral 911, and Singer describes it as a celebration of the analogue driving experience that makes few concessions to touring. The name and theme come from the canyon roads in the hills above Los Angeles, and the dark blue coupé carries a topographic map of Mulholland Drive across its body. Rally-style auxiliary lamps sit on the front lid for night runs, and in place of the usual retractable spoiler Singer fitted a fixed wing on slim aluminium supports. Inside there is no sound deadening, no trim panels, no stereo and no air conditioning, and the rear and rear quarter windows are Perspex to save weight.

The model reproduces the white contour lines over dark blue on every panel, with orange PORSCHE script on the sills and the tail and an orange line across the front lid. Four auxiliary lamps sit between the headlamps, the fixed wing rises above the engine lid, and twin tailpipes exit beneath the rear. Silver split-spoke wheels fill the arches. The car stands on a brown leather-look base with gold script. It is built at 1:18.
