Rolls-Royce announced the Dawn at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show as the replacement for the Phantom Drophead Coupé. It was built on the platform of the Ghost, with a twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 of 563 bhp. Novitec, the tuner Wolfgang Hagedorn founded in Bavaria in 1989, set up Spofec in 2014 to work only on Rolls-Royce cars; the name comes from Spirit of Ecstasy. Its Dawn Overdose, shown in November 2017, added flared arches that make the car 13cm wider, carbon bumpers front and rear, ceramic brakes and 22-inch wheels. The air suspension was set 40mm lower, output rose to 677 bhp, and Spofec said it would build eight.
IVY finishes the car in Matte Grey with gloss black multi-spoke wheels, a black grille under the Spirit of Ecstasy, and a cabin in bright orange leather, shown with the roof down. The wide front apron carries mesh intakes, a row of lamps runs across the lower bumpers front and rear, and two exhaust outlets sit below a black lip spoiler on the boot lid. The car stands on a white leather base with red stitching, and its black plaque reads Novitec Spofec Dawn Overdose. IVY builds it at 1:18.
