The Cullinan Series II carries forward Rolls-Royce's most consequential decision of the modern era: the choice, once thought heretical, to build a high-bodied car for terrain its clients had never been able to reach in a Rolls. The second-series refresh sharpens the face with a brighter, more upright grille and slimmer daylight running lamps, while the Black Badge specification darkens the Spirit of Ecstasy and the chrome brightwork, with a blacked-out grille surround and a more assertive throttle map from the 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12. It is a commanding object: the upright stance, the long rear glasshouse, the deeply set wheels visible here all speak to a car built to be driven hard yet arrive in silence.
