Forged carbon is the material that gives a modern Mansory its look. Rather than woven sheets laid in a mould, it is made from short strands of carbon fibre pressed together in resin, so each panel comes out marbled and no two are alike. Mansory was using it on the Cullinan before the facelift, when its Coastline conversion of the original car carried forged carbon parts all around the body, and it is central to the Series II cars too, covering the bonnet, splitter, arch extensions and sills. On some builds it spreads further still, onto the faces of the wheels, as it does here.
This example is gloss black, with a fine gold coachline along the shoulder and a gold Spirit of Ecstasy at the prow. The forged carbon runs from the bonnet to the diffuser, where twin hexagonal tailpipes sit in the centre, and carries on into the wheels, whose discs are faced in the same marbled carbon. Inside, black leather is piped in orange, the seats printed with grey star medallions over a lattice pattern, and a row of orange stars crosses the carbon dashboard to the Mansory Atelier plaque. The etched plaque on its black velvet base gives its number in an edition of 20. H&H makes it at 1:18.
