The Cullinan was Rolls-Royce's first move into the high-bodied car, and the Series II refines rather than reinvents it: a darker, more resolved front graphic, slimmer lamps and a Pantheon grille that now sits flush with the bumper. This is the Black Badge treatment, the marque's answer to the younger, owner-driver buyer who wants the Goodwood presence with the chrome turned to shadow. Every bright element that would normally gleam silver has been darkened to gloss black, from the grille vanes to the Spirit of Ecstasy and the twin-R monogram, while the V12 is given more torque and a sharper throttle to suit the mood. The thin copper coachline down the flank and the burnt-orange brake calipers are the only warmth allowed against an otherwise monolithic body.
H&H build the car in Diamond Black, a deep paint that reads near-bottomless in shade and picks up a faint warmth under direct light, set against the diamond-cut multi-spoke wheels with their blacked-out monogram centres. The panel gaps, the flush handles and the darkened tail graphic are all carried over faithfully at this scale. H&H present it at 1:18 on a leather-look display base.
