Porsche Mission R, White & Red

Porsche unveiled the Mission R at the 2021 Munich show as its answer to a question the brand had been circling for years: what does a customer racing car look like once the combustion engine leaves the building. Beneath the body sits a 1,000-horsepower dual-motor electric drivetrain and a roll cage woven into a natural-fibre composite monocoque, but the form is what argues the case here: the cab-forward greenhouse, the deep front splitter and dive planes, the swan-neck rear wing and aggressive diffuser all read as pure GT3, not show-stand fantasy. It is a study car built to convince racing drivers, and the proportions and detailing carry the weight of that intent.

The livery is the giveaway of provenance: gloss white over the flanks and tail, a sweep of red across the nose and front arches, and the works "01" with Mobil, TAG Heuer, Michelin and ABB partner marks rendered crisply across the doors and wing.
