Porsche KS-R, Purple

The plaque calls it the Porsche KS-R, and the shape is unmistakably the impact-bumper 911 of the 1970s and 1980s pushed to an extreme. The arches are widened front and rear, with a vent cut into each rear wing ahead of the wheel, and a broad flat spoiler sits on the engine cover. Under the tail nothing is hidden: two turbochargers with green air filters hang below the bumper, flanking the exhaust, and a red light bar spelled out with the PORSCHE name runs across the back. Up front the round headlamps keep the old 911 face, over a deep bumper with mesh intakes and round driving lamps.

Runner finishes this example in a rich metallic purple with a matt black spoiler and black trim, on gold cross-spoke wheels with red calipers behind them. The detail underneath is the point of the piece: the turbos, pipework and filters are modelled in silver and green, and the louvred rear window glows orange through the glass. The car sits on a white leather base edged in orange stitching, with a brushed plaque carrying the Runner logo and the edition, one of 30. It is a resin model, built at 1:18.
