Porsche KS-R, Orange

When Porsche put the 911 Turbo on sale in 1975 it set a pattern that tuners have followed ever since: flared arches over wider wheels, a large spoiler on the engine lid and a turbocharger to make the most of the flat six. The KS-R, the work of the designer and concept artist Khyzyl Saleem, takes that recipe much further on the body of an impact-bumper 911. The arches swell out over deep-dish wheels, the front bumper drops low with a full-width grille, and the spoiler becomes a long, flat wing. At the back the bumper is removed completely, so the two turbochargers and their pipework sit exposed beneath a red light bar.

Orange gives this version a period feel, the colour bright and glossy against the black window frames, mirrors and the carbon panels ahead of the rear wheels. It runs on polished multi-spoke mesh wheels, quite different from the black wheels of the other colourways, with Yokohama lettering on the tyres and red calipers behind. A small badge sits at the top of the windscreen, the rear window is covered by a red louvred screen, and under the tail the twin turbochargers show their green air filters and polished outlets.
